Our COVID-19 in Offices course is suitable for anyone working in an office environment, you will learn the importance of effective risk assessment for office workers with regard to COVID-19 and will also consider the ways of preventing the spread of the virus in the office.

You will be able to identify the different symptoms experienced from the virus and why some people are more affected than others.

This course looks at the possible ways of minimising and preventing the spread of coronavirus in the office such as the basic 2m social distancing rule.

In our COVID-19 in Offices course you will learn that although the current advice is for office workers to work from home if they can, there are some professions where this can’t apply. Therefore you will look at the safety measures that should be in place when working from home and in the workplace.

You will look at the impact the virus has had so far on society and consider the ‘new normal’ that all of us need to face. You will also explore ways of looking after your wellbeing and mental health during these uncertain times.

In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

On completion of the course students will feel they have a greater understanding of COVID-19 and how to protect themselves and others whilst working in the office.

You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.

Units covered

Unit 1 – Introduction – This unit is designed to provide an introduction to COVID-19, where it is believed to have originated from and the impact it has had so far globally, especially on the economy and education. The unit will finish by explaining the latest Government guidance for COVID-19.
Unit 2 – Identifying and assessing risks in offices – In this unit you will look at the importance of effective risk assessments for office workers with regard to COVID-19 and will consider ways of preventing the spread of the virus. You will know the importance of employers carrying out risk assessments and the measures to put in place to eliminate or minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Unit 3 – Symptoms of COVID-19 – This unit will look at the different symptoms experienced from the virus and why some people are more affected than others. You will also learn about people who have had COVID-19 and the handful of consistent symptoms between individuals, both in adults and children.
Unit 4 – Preventing the spread of COVID-19 – In this unit you will look at possible ways of minimising and preventing the spread of Coronavirus. You will learn the concept of social distancing and keeping a safe space between people so that the virus has less chance to transmit from one person to another.
Unit 5 – Working from home and in the workplace – In this unit you will learn whilst the current advice is for people who can work from home to do so, there are some professions where this can simply not apply. This unit will look at safe measures when working from home and in the workplace.
Unit 6 – The new normal – In this unit you will look at the impact the virus has had so far on society and you will consider the ‘new normal’ that all of us will need to face. You will also explore ways to look after your wellbeing and mental health.
