All about this course

Our COVID-19 in Hospitality course is suitable for anyone working in the hospitality sector.

In this course you will learn that whilst there may remain some restrictions on the services that the hospitality sector can provide, they remain a sector where there is potential for rapid transmission of COVID-19 and this is due to the nature of their business where people are more likely to gather in groups and the fact that the requirement to wear face coverings is not needed where people are sitting at tables to eat or drink.

This is why it is extremely important that anyone working in the hospitality sector has up to date knowledge on COVID-19 and how they can keep themselves, other employees and customers safe.

You will be able to identify the different symptoms experienced from the virus and why some people are more affected than others.

In our COVID-19 in Hospitality course you will learn that any form of risk assessment that is carried out in the hospitality sector should fully address the risk of COVID-19, using official guidance to inform decisions and control measures that are put into place to ensure everyone’s safety.

You will also learn that employers have a duty to consult on health and safety, and consultation should occur with employees, taking into account their concerns and how risks will be managed whilst the business remains open.

You will look at the impact the virus has had so far on society and consider the ‘new normal’ that all of us need to face.

In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
